The Mighty Boosh

I just saw an episode of the Mighty Boosh which features a dancing bear, looking upset and roaring violently. Vince and Howard play a song, and the keeper fields the comment: "He doesn't look happy!" with the response "He's a communist, he doesn't understand the service industry!" I am a server, but are we just dancing bears?

I defy you to blame the booze

I'm watching the repeat of Chappelle's Show that is the Charlie Murphy/Rick James episode. I truly believe this to be one of the best moments in modern comedy history. It shows just how Dave Chappelle was, for a fleeting second, the single saving grace of American sketch comedy. Where I was sad to see him stop the show, I'm glad it went out as funny as it came in, and he did not have to bow to the network standards, the corporate money, bullshit machine that sucks the soul out of comedy. "FUCK YO' COUCH!"

Take the Oxymoron Train to Awesome Town

Mini Monster Truck.

Does that blow your mind? That. Just. Happened.

I love cars

But, read this load of poodie poops. So all those emissions and fuel economy standards are a lie. Pay particular attention, although it is a bit technical, to the part about the wheel base as related to entire fleet standard. Focused on "making America more green." Bullshit.

Catching up on some required reading.

Read "Farenhiet 451" by Ray Bradbury the past couple days. Some interesting social commentary in there. Not just about censorship, but more about the cultural move towards voluntary ignorance. It's getting harder to find people who care, or who want to know about what the government is doing. As long as they've got their car, beer, and television, who gives a shit?
